Cut and Paste Los Angeles 2010 / Homer + gummi bear in a chocolate car

Homer and his giant gummi bear homie driving around in a chocolate Hershey car.

This was my test round entry for Cut & Paste 2010: Los Angeles: digital design tournament. (http://cutandpaste.com) 15 minutes to design from scratch. Made it to the finals in '09 but I didn't make it this time around. I'm still pretty happy about my piece though. And it was fun going out there for the test round. Just like last year, the test round topic was bliss! On to the next. :-)

Sooner or Later

Sooner or Later is my favorite song off of n*e*r*d's last album, Seeing Sounds; despite the fact that it's kind of a major downer. The photo was taken at the Wiltern about a month ago. They opened for Common. [non gif version]

Animation Reel Circa 2003/04

I've always wanted to upload this online and I finally got a chance to. This is my animation reel from my freshmen year circa 2003/04. The order goes like this: bouncing ball test, sack test, walk cycle, head rotation and my final project entitled Lollipop Bandit. This stuff is very old but what'chu gonna do?! Enjoy!

Character Chaos

I decided to put a little more thought into my character collage. I reworked the placement and the color. Turtle turtle has multipled so it seems. The real printout is a whopping twenty four by thirty six. Thank God for adobe illustrator.

Toy Icon Project

Check out this blog: toyicon.blogspot.com

As you can with my blog, you can make comments without having any account. Give the project some much needed feedback, it'll be very much appreciated. In a nutshell, it's about displaying Hollywood's urbanism through art and designer toys.

Rapper v.2: Linus aka Apollo

He's a rapper who lives a short bus-ride away from Hollywood and Highland. He performs on the street during the day and buses tables at night. He's a self-proclaimed thug and a profilic lyricist.

He was a rejected character for my toy icon project. I don't know why i did a finished version. It's just been a while since i've done one is all. The second picture is my current wallpaper. God speed.

Rapper v.1

This is a work-in-progress of my rapper character. Right now, I'm working on the color and shading aspects with photoshop. I don't know if i should go wth the bolder color or not. I'll get into his general specifics when i finish him. [click picture for close-up]

T2MRT

This was originally setup as an accordian fold piece on foamboard for my 3rd year gd class. It was a nightmare to tape and spray mount together, but i got the reaction that i wanted. And now, i've used imageready to increase it's longevity. i pity the fool!
